OMG!!! i have started crying on fairy tales!!! this cannot be. what has come over me?!!
a person as hard and impassive as me could not ashame herself by such an act of sensitivity!! perhaps this is just a moment and it will pass, ya this possibility makes more sense.
*phew*

sometimes you don't need any reason to cry..all it takes is one moment of vulnerability..one moment of weakness ..one moment of letting your guard down & the emotions start sneaking through our so called resilient walls of numbness & emotionless.
maybe its just a phase or maybe its an indication that things aren't the same anymore:)

@ m.h.a
lol, ya you sound human to me :p

@ illusion

exactly its the vulnerability thats bad. liked ur point though :)

@mubi
you know i'm human most of the times then lol...and you know i was thinking one advantage of being a girl in this patriarchal society is that when a girl cries comments like "oh you're crying like a girl!" won't bother her lol...
But sometimes, strange things make us cry. Very rightly said, sometimes we want to cry without reason, but i remember, when Paulo Maldini lifted the Champions League trophy for the 6th time last year, i was almost close to tears...that was so awe-inspiring! I mean he.

m.h.a said...

Sorry it was the 5th champions league title maldini won last year. Not the 6th. My bad.

which fairy tale was it?? :D

Well, I kind of get teary at some very emotional points in my favorite romance novels (they are kind of fairy tales as well)...so i am all for crying at fairy tales!! ;) :D

@ m.h.a
well i totally support men crying. though most of the time they can get very nasty..so the sight of them shedding tears brings our their 'vulnerability' hehehe
but seriously it isnt wrong to cry, why gender discrimination in expression even if its tears? and ur reason for crying was quite manly i mean related to sports :S so no harm i guess ;) i approve lol

@ shysoul

err hehe shud i tell the name of the movie? everyone wud say come on!!!! fine whatever, i watched 'Ever after':D and loved it.but its not the only fairy tale that touched me( recently)
and as m.h.a said at least we girls have one 'advantage' of being able to cry without being made fun of(but not always,sometimes even we have to listen to things like come on stop being a cry baby etc)

wqah said...

read the little mermaid again and again...it will always make u cry:P

m.h.a said...

@mubi
in that case the advantage is with babies. Atleast they can cry without being nagged with "you're crying like a baby"..waisay i've yet to figues out the exact reason humans cry...because its not due to an emotion only...grief, anger, happiness, excitement, loneliness, remorse, triumph, people cry in all these states and emotions...there's something to crying that we donot understand, because sometimes you cant cry even in the gravest of times, when you want to, in the heaviest griefs, and sometimes, one small thing initiates it...its kind of complicated

Mubi said...

@ wqah
lol now how cud that be possible :p

@mha

hmm i agree. there are times so intense that one wants to relieve thru crying but tears never come..and thats the most devastating time.
phew enough on crying no? lol at least now i wont cry for a long time, i mean so much talk on it!! never knew a few lines could initiate a detailed analysis on crying :p
btw needed rukh's opinion on this too *wondering where she is*

shysoul said...

uufff....m.h.a and mubi...why dont u two sit down and have a session of crying together? :P that poor fairy tale got buried somewhere in all this talk of why's and how's of crying!! :P

Ever After...geez...why didn't I cry watching that?! :S After all, I seem to be the most mushy/romantic/still stary-eyed person in the whole bunch of world-weary kids!! :P

Mubi said...

@ shysoul hhahahaha, luved ur comment , the one about you. and that is true. you are one hell of a sweet person, but thats not what u sed about urself hehehe.

about the post n the film, ya i luved drew and the prince *bats eyelashes*
watch the movie again and perhaps this time the real you would come out :D

shysoul said...

Sweet??!! Some would say that I need some reality bites! :P

Yeah...now I remember, I couldn't get past the prince's mind-boggling fashion sense and he also seemed like a shallow person, which of course my dear Drew corrected in him and THAT's where my difference of opinion starts. you just can't give a person a personality overhaul. shallow men can't be turned into deep, solid guys. Yeah, you as a woman can polish up the heart of gold underneath all that flith but still you need something to start with and that princey seemed to come with zero input.

Besides, the princes in fairy tales are supposed to save their lady loves...but the poor girl had to do all her saving by herself (and his too, at some points :P). We already do our saving in real life...what's the point of watching/reading a fairy tale agar wahan bhee sab kuch khud hee karna hai??!! :P

And before u throw an egg at me, I am stepping down my soap box! :D

at time u dont need a reason to cry ...n iagree to anyone who says itss good to cry .....no matter how much u r in control but still at times afeeling of depression takes over ( in my case) n it is fine to cry.....so be it fairy tales or the sight of sadaf shabbir dont feel shy n jus cry,,,

n m.h.a when paolo maldini lifted tht trophy i was close to tear well i was in tears cuz liverpool lost ...n tht was tears induced by sickening siht of tht italian b*****D ( sorry the language)..why am i writing this....gr8 ..i am hysterical now....

Mubi said...

first this post got the highest comments ever, record breaking!!!! :D wow, do i get an oscar for this?

@ amna

wow girl m proud of you :D you hit the right point here, saddy!! how oblivious of me sigh.
and ya thats my girl, with all her soccer knowledge :D

@ shysoul

alright you got a point there. but fairy tales are fairy tales, they are not meant to be real right? anything can happen, the prince was stupid agreed but who cares:P lol and i suppose you're referring to the scene where drew rescues the prince from the gypsies, carries HIM in HER arms and saves the day. well i was amused at first and then had a silly moment of laugh. i never really looked at the prince's character that deeply you know.

and now b4 you throw eggs at me lol. peace ;) haha, luv talking to you girl

@nando_villa
well i should've should've refrained from commenting but you know, just because milan beat liverpool doesn't mean you take anything away from the best defender in the world! I mean thats unsportsmanlike behaviour and i'm sure football doesn't teach us that...i mean i hate christiano ronaldo, but that doesn't make him anything less than one of the best players in the world...so i dunno what this has to do with the post, but lets not diss each others' teams...coz there will be blood :P

m.h.a said...

And lets not diss maldini.
*Closes his eyes, walks to the other side of the room and drops his head gives a pause, lifts his head up again and stares into nothingness then gets ready to speak*
lets not.
